An ancient Cretan white wine grape. The variety was all but extinct less than 25 years ago, revived due to efforts of young winemakers. A medium to full-bodied, with fresh acidity (given the warm, humid climate they come from) & a relatively broad spectrum of fruit flavors - such diverse descriptors as lime, quince, peach & even mango appearing in it.

Vradiano 2017 by Vriniotis: Bottle $74
An extremely rare indigenous red grape grown in central Greece, mincluding the island of Evia. Medium bodied, shows aromas of violets, black fruits, strawberry, cherry, plum, pepper & cinnamon, all evident on the palate. Additional secondary flavors of vanilla & tannins, imparted by the aging of the oak, ideal for the cellaring.

A full bodied red dessert wine from Patras, dating from 1854. It has a rich port like aroma with hints of coffee, toffee & spicy nuts richness, along side rasisinf & black cherry flavors, layered with smokey caramel tones.
Cretan Liastos by Lirarakis: 375ml $60
A blend fo Vidiano, Pluto, Dafni, Assyrtiko, Thrapsathiri & Vilana grapes. This sweet wine is a blend of local sun-dried grapes (in the shadow), giving a concentrated juice with density of aromas & taste. Caramelised apricots, a hint of herbs, followed by a bitter orange marmalade, which is balanced by the wine’s exceptional freshness.
Vinsanto (Holy Wine) from PDO Santorini by Santo Winery: 500ml $75
The origins of the name are disputed but most agree it comes from its use in holy communion. It is usually amber-hued straw like Tuscany wines with full body complex, ranging from sweet spices like cinnamon & cloves towards dried fruits such as apricots & raisins. The lovely viscous palate is balanced by a fine thread of acidity that cuts through the sweetness; with a long and velvety aftertaste.
